Meeting Minutes
August 17, 2015
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman Webber in the Little Town Hall.
Members Present: Gordon Webber (Chair), John Robertson
Staff present: Donna Hanson (Town Administrator)
Absent: Michael Genest
Agenda Items:
- Mr. Robertson moved to approve the Board of Selectmen (BOS) minutes of July 20, 2015; Mr. Webber seconded. Passed 2/0
Mr. Peter Holden from Holden Engineer said they needed to speak to abutters of the Highland Ave/Pleasant Street project to give them an overview of the project and what they should expect when construction begins and also get any signatures for easements that were needed. Mr. Webber agreed to go door to door with Mr. Holden.
Fire Chief Marshall Gale gave an update of the Fire Department. They have been very busy but as of now the budget looks fine. They have 3 new members. He is working on getting information for the new heating system in hopes of getting this done before winter. The roof on Station 1 will probably need to be replace. He will work on getting that in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
Mr. Robertson gave a brief summary of the Site Evaluation Committee’s (SEC) deliberations. The minutes should be posted on the SEC website soon.
Mr. Webber moved to approve the revised purchasing policy. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 2/0
Mr. Webber moved to approve the Discretionary Preservation Easement submitted by Mark and Susan Ellingwood on Smith Road. Mr. Robertson seconded. A public hearing will be August 31, 2015 for final approval.
Future meeting schedule will be August 31, September 14, September 28, Tuesday- October 13, and October 26.
- Mr. Webber motioned to go into non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II (b) hiring. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 2/0
- Mr. Webber motioned to come out of non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II (b) hiring. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 2/0
- After no further business Mr. Webber moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Robertson. Passed 2/0
